(MCCPS volunteer who runs the Wood Shop Enrichment Program)

Project: Sliding-door Hideaway Wall Organizer

7 classes 42 hrs

This summer program is for students with some or little wood working experience.
Students will learn to use many tools including the table saw, power miter saw, router table, scroll saw and many hand tools. Students will make their own projects to take home.  Besides making this wonderful "Wall Organizer" made of Red Oak, each student will learn a great deal about the craftsmanship of wood working.

The class size will be limited to only 5 students per day so Mr. Haddock can spend as much individual time with each student.  This is the third year Mr. Haddock has offered a summer program. He has volunteered at MCCPS for over 5 years and loves to share his craftsmanship with wood working since he was introduced to building projects out of wood in his own middle school years.

This should be a wonderful new project for students to enjoy for years to come! The Wall Organizer can be used by everyone in the household.  As you can see in the picture, it will be a great place to store your keys, cell phones and post-it notes on the sliding cork door.

3rd Grade at MCCPS - Community Input Survey

Dear Families, Friends, and Community Members,

As you are aware, the MCCPS Board of Trustees is considering expanding our program to include 3rd grade. This is an important decision, and we would greatly appreciate knowing what you think. The following link connects to a short survey that is designed to capture the community's interest in the proposed expansion project.  Please feel free to forward it to others.  It will be posted on our website soon, too.
