Exhibition III

Bioethics

Where do we go from here?

Money, time, and resources are expended in scientific and technological research. When new methods and concepts are introduced, there is often caution about perils inherent in the new technology. In addition, moral and ethical concerns often surface.

Part I – The Paper

Students will write a research paper based on a topic of scientific/medical research that reflects the problems presented above. The paper discusses the following elements:

  • Historical Background
  • Scientific Explanation
  • Social/Cultural Controversy

Part II – The Display

Each student will present a display on exhibition night that visually presents data regarding the dilemma addressed. This will require a small trifold.

Part III – The Performance

On Exhibition Night, each student will present to the audiences a brief explanation of the dilemma and his/her conclusion regarding the issue. This presentation will be memorized and rehearsed.
