The Marblehead Community Charter Public School (MCCPS), from its first moments realized that it takes a community to educate a child—a partnership among community members, teachers, parents and students.   Begun in 1995, today the school serves as a model of what is possible when a community focuses on education.  MCCPS provides a coordinated school-wide academic program using a thematic and integrated model of instruction.  The curriculum is also tied to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

MCCPS is a learning community open to innovation and willing to take risks in order to better serve its students.

The mission at MCCPS is to foster a community that empowers children to become capable, self-determining, fully engaged individuals who are critical and creative thinkers committed to achieving their highest intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and physical potential.  We are dedicated to involving, learning from, participating in, and serving our school community and the community at large.

The MCCPS Educational Foundation focuses on developing the widest community partnerships to enhance the resource capacity of the school.  Committed to the mission and the pursuit of excellence, the Educational Foundation works to build the philanthropic spirit within the MCCPS community to secure its financial foundation, to make a difference in education and the wider community, to connect MCCPS students, faculty, alumni/ae, and friends, as well as to nurture, challenge and inspire our students.

Donations to the Educational Foundation are tax deductible and are used to support a wide range of innovative school endeavors.
