Amazon.com and SchoolPop
MCCPS has entered into partnerships with Amazon.com and SchoolPop.com and through their respective programs the school will receive an average of 4% of your purchases when you shop online at major brands, such as: Adobe, Amazon, Ann Taylor, Apple, Barnes&Noble, Brookstone, CompUSA, Circuit City, Discovery Store, FAO Schwarz, GAP, Hallmark, Land's End, L.L.Bean, Nordstrom, Staples, Walmart (and many more!).
If you prefer the more traditional holiday shopping in stores, you can still help the school. The SchoolPop program lets you register your credit cards once, so that any purchase made with these cards in almost 500 retail stores will still benefit the school!
For the Amazon.com program, all you have to do is start every shopping trip on Amazon through the MCCPS website at www.marbleheadcharter.org. Simply use the Amazon.com search box on this page and the school will receive the benefit from your shopping as soon as the items are shipped.
For the SchoolPop.com program, you will need to register on the SchoolPop.com website only once. Follow the link below with the yellow school bus to go to the SchoolPop website. You will find some information on the SchoolPop program and then will be asked to join - please do so and register with their site. As part of the registration process, you will also be asked to provide information on 2 of your credit cards. While entering this information is optional, we would like to encourage you to do so, as this will be used to track your purchases made in actual retail stores as well, so that the school can benefit from those purchases, too.
Once you are successfully registered, you can start shopping online at the almost 500 merchants that participate in the SchoolPop program. Simply click on the "Shop Now" tab and you will see a list of featured merchants as well as a complete list of categories on the left side.
On the very top of the screen you will see a confirmation that all your shopping at these merchants will now benefit our school, as long as you do your shopping from the same computer (and browser) that you used to register. If you are shopping online from a different computer, simply go to the SchoolPop.com website once and check that on the top of the screen it says: ole1 If you don't see that message, simply log in with the username and password that you created the first time and then proceed to do your shopping.
Both programs are not limited to just parents or immediate stakeholders - please spread the word to your friends and extended family. It doesn't cost them anything, but greatly helps the school pay the bills.
