I am excited to join your community as the new Head of School at Marblehead Community Charter Public School. I was very impressed with the interview process, which began back in March. Now the work begins for me to listen and learn all that I can about Marblehead Charter and the community. I have developed an entry plan that establishes goals and a timeline for me to meet with stakeholders in the community. With the help of the community, I will listen and learn what makes Marblehead Charter such a special school. Additionally, I will be able to identify areas for growth and improvement as we look ahead to this 25th year at Charter.
The work of finalizing the Strategic Plan for the school will be a priority. I will meet with the committee that has been hard at work on this plan. It is my hope that this Strategic Plan document will serve as a blueprint for our success. Over the coming months I plan to spend time with members of the community including teachers, parents, students, support staff, and the individual members of the Board of Trustees. I will also seek out opportunities to meet with administrators of the other public schools in Marblehead, as well as current and future community partners and town officials.
My goals for this entry plan are to listen and learn from the community. These conversations will lead to the creation of a shared vision for Marblehead Charter and will seek to open lines of communication as we get to the work of educating students. Of great importance to me is that this process and future decision-making is transparent. With that in mind, I encourage you to review my entry plan, which is linked below. I welcome your feedback and look forward to immersing myself in the Charter community.
