Matched

Matched, by Ally Condie is the first book in a series and is a romance novel about a dystopian world where you are matched with people to spend the rest of your life with, but one person disagrees with that rule. At the beginning of the book, Cassia, the main character has a problem with her match because it isn’t who she really wants to be matched with. In the story the main characters choose risky things that could get them in trouble with the officials in her province. Cassia disagrees with the officials “I think people should be able to choose who they match with,” but the only other choice is to choose to be single.  By the end of the story she figures out that things about her friends she did not know and other things that will remain a mystery.

I would recommend this book to people who enjoy an adventurous love story with characters who are willing to break the rules for love. Also when reading the book I felt as if I was one of the characters and it grabbed me at the first page.
