Notorious

Notorious, the second book in the fabulous It Girl series, is written by Cecily von Ziegesar. This captivating novel is about a girl named Jennifer Humphrey who was planning on having the “perfect year” at Waverly Academy. She has excellent grades and the two most popular girls as roommates, she even started to develop a crush on a boy named Easy Walsh. She thought that nothing was going to get in the way of her perfect year, but she was wrong. Tinsley Carmichael, an old student that got expelled for an unknown reason is back. Since Tinsey is back, is Jenny’s perfect year going to be cut short?

Notorious was a near perfect book, besides the fact that the ending was such a cliffhanger. Notorious always kept me guessing. This wonderful novel was never boring to me. One of the things I especially liked about this book was that every chapter begins with a quote about the school and the rules that every girl should use like the “bro code”,  “ A Waverly Owl is always polite, even to total strangers.” or “A Waverly Owl never uses an ex-boyfriend as a weapon.” I also liked that the book continues to have drama, parties and gossip that always draws you in for more. I would definitely have to say that this book is empowered by crazy details. For example, Brett is dating hottie Mr. Dalton but also that Tinsey threw a party in Boston. The end was the most surprising event in the book because it ended in a very surprising outcome that could change the girls friendships forever. I would recommend this realistic fiction book to every person in who enjoys  reading about popular girls, romances and drama.
