The Girl Who was Supposed to Die

“She doesn’t know who she is. She doesn’t know where she is or why. All she knows when she comes to in a ransacked cabin is that two men are arguing over whether or not to kill her. She must run.” This blurb of The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die, by April Henry, made me want to read this book, and that I have to finish it no matter what. It kept me hooked because it left a suspenseful cliffhanger. The main character, Cadence, Or Cady, wakes up in a cabin in the woods, beat up with two men debating weather or not to kill her. She doesn’t know anything about her identity, but one big thing she does know is that she needs to get away from the men and the cabin as soon as possible.
Later on in the book, Cady comes across a boy named Tyler, or Ty, at a McDonalds off the highway. He agrees to help her on her mysterious journey to find her family and her identity. Close to the end of the book she finds out who her family is but now she has to save them from the two men…
This book was fantastic. If you find pleasure in quick reads filled with mystery, murder, and suspense, I strongly recommend you read this magnificent book.
