The Marblehead Community Charter Public School held a very enjoyable and successful event on Saturday evening, May 6, 2017 at the Corinthian Yacht Club. We honored  six individuals who have made a difference on behalf of our school and our community. Our honorees were: Alexis Baliotis Kereakoglow, former Charter school graduate and co-owner of The Acorn Gallery School of Art in Marblehead; Marblehead Police Chief Robert Picarello, who was our first DARE officer in 1996; Annie and Dr. Jeff Rockwell, community leaders and former MCCPS parents who own Atlantic Veterinary Hospital in Marblehead; Norma Ross, devoted volunteer for MCCPS and the late Emil Ronchi, who was instrumental in charting a course of direction for our school.

One hundred fifteen people attended our event. The event raised a net of $19,635 that will be directed to the Charter Education Fund.  Thank you to our Spring Gala Committee for their support and dedication in making this event a success.  Amy Ruocco and Bryan Ruocco, Co-Chairs; committee members: Ann Chandler, Christine Durkin, Linda Haley, Crissy Jache, Suzanne LaBrie, Lisa Schneider, Rosie Segal and Jan Brodie, Director of Development.
